How Invertipy makes money
Invertipy is free for investors and is funded by referral fees paid by brokers. We charge site users nothing, we do not sell instruments, and we receive no payment for ranking one issuer above another.
The model, in one sentence
When someone reaches a broker through Invertipy and opens an account, that broker pays us a referral fee. That is the platform's only revenue.
Investors pay nothing, neither directly nor through a worse rate. We play no part in the terms a broker offers you.
The conflict of interest this creates
Worth stating plainly: we get paid when you open an account, not when your investment does well. That creates a structural incentive for you to use the site and end up contacting a broker.
That incentive exists and does not disappear because we wrote it down. What we can do is limit its effects and tell you exactly where it sits, so you read the rest of the site knowing about it.
How we limit it
- Catalogue ordering is not for sale. Instruments are sorted by the criteria you choose (rate, term, maturity). No broker and no issuer can pay to appear higher.
- The broker listing is complete. We show every broker licensed by the Comisión Nacional de Valores, not only those we have a commercial agreement with.
- Data comes from the official source. Rates, terms and ratings are taken from Asunción Stock Exchange publications. We do not edit or adjust them.
- We give no recommendations. We do not say what you should invest in, because we are not in a position to know and because being paid to refer you while also advising you would be a bad combination for you.
What we do not do
- We are not a broker-dealer and are not regulated by the Comisión Nacional de Valores (CNV).
- We do not hold funds or execute trades. You will never transfer money to us.
- We are not financial advisers and nothing on the site is an investment recommendation.
- We do not sell, rent or hand your personal data to brokers unless you explicitly ask us to.
Why we are telling you this
Because if you are going to decide where to put your savings using a free tool, you are entitled to know who pays for it. Any comparison site that will not tell you how it makes money is asking you to trust something you cannot verify.
