Investment return simulator for Paraguay

Work out what an investment in Paraguayan bonds returns, based on the amount, the term and the instrument's nominal annual rate.

The catalogue currently holds 220 bonds with nominal annual rates from 5.50% to 16.00% in guaraníes and from 5.00% to 9.15% in US dollars, over terms of 14 to 125 months. Updated on 01 September 2026.

How it is calculated

The simulator applies simple interest to the nominal annual rate: it multiplies the capital by the rate and by the number of years in the term. It is the most direct way to estimate the return, and the one that matches a bond paying interest without reinvesting it.

The result is a gross estimate. It does not compound interest even when the instrument pays monthly or semi-annually, and it does not deduct the withholding taxes that apply to investments in the Paraguayan market, the fees charged by the broker, or the effect of inflation on purchasing power.

What you actually receive will be less than this screen shows. For a net figure, check with the broker you will trade through and with an accountant.
